Noel Reidy
Noel Reidy is a highly-experienced crisis management and business continuity specialist.
Over the past 20 years he has assisted, trained, and exercised management teams from a variety of public and private sector organisations, including, government departments, utilities, financial, biopharmachem and oil. He specialises in designing and facilitating challenging exercises to evaluate crisis and business continuity management plans and to provide practical experience to individuals and teams under simulated conditions.
Noel is a member of the Consultative Committee to the “National Directorate for Emergency Management” in the Department of the Environment and Local Government and is also a member of the EMII (Emergency Management Institute Ireland).
Noel spent 20 years in the Irish Army where he gained extensive experience in preparing teams to perform under adverse and stressful situations as a trainer in the Officer Training School in the Military College. He served with the UN in the Middle East and in Cambodia.
John Brophy
John is a highly experienced and much sought after advisor and trainer in the Crisis, Emergency, and Business Continuity Management fields.
He has over 30 years’ experience as a trainer, and has designed and delivered customised training courses, workshops and exercises for senior management teams from a variety of public and private sector organisations.
John advises and assists clients in the development of risk based contingency plans. He also specialises in the design, conduct and evaluation of management team exercises to evaluate plans and to provide practical, hands on experience to Crisis, Emergency and Business Continuity Team members through progressive exercise programmes.
John is founder member of the EMII (Emergency Management Institute Ireland) and is a former Chair of the Republic of Ireland branch of the Emergency Planning Society. He is also a long-time member of the IITD (Irish Institute of Training and Development).
John holds an MSc in Emergency Management from Dublin City University and has lectured on this Masters programme in DCU since 2012. He has a post graduate Diploma in Training and Development, and a BSc in Microbiology and Biochemistry. He is currently undertaking studies in Terrorism through St. Andrews University in Scotland.
John spent 18 years as an Irish Army Officer where he gained extensive experience in the design and delivery of training syllabi, and was extensively involved delivery of ‘train the trainer’ courses. He has served on UN and EU missions in the Middle East and in the former Yugoslavia.
